Best places to eat and drink in Seminyak, Bali.

Seminyak, Bali. The place of unlimited food and beverage venues. Here are my top 5 (and a couple more) rated venues for service, atmosphere, drinks and of course food. Please leave a comment below letting me know if you have any other recommendations for restaurants/bars/cafes in Seminyak!

  1. Motel Mexicola – Jalan Kayu Jati 9, Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia.

Fresh, authentic Mexican food and drink! The ultimate vibe creating venue, with atmospheric tunes and fun and helpful staff that aren’t afraid to get up and dance on the tables (also encouraging you to participate). The space is awesome, decked out with neon lighting that turns into boogie central when dinner service is over. I definitely recommend booking a table and checking out this space for good times and food.

    2. Kilo Bali – JL. Drupadi No. 22 Xx, Seminyak, Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia.

A breakfast, lunch and dinner restaurant. We went for dinner at dusk and sat outside among the palm trees. It has a mellow and relaxed vibe with amazing, professional service from staff. The food was classy and in tapas form which makes it fun to share and eat together. The desserts and sophisticated cocktails were the highlight!

    3. Shelter Cafe’ – Little alley off JL. Seminyak

A breezy rooftop cafe’ decked out with plants and wooden aesthetics. The menu is vegetarian and vegan, and they supply the best smoothies, juices and healthy shots to cleanse and re balance (try the tumeric and ginger shot). The produce is fresh and tasty. I would recommend this place to any foodie who enjoy avocado smashes and Buddha bowls.

     4. Sisterfields Cafe’ – JL. Kayu Cendana No. 7, Seminyak

An Australian owned modern cafe’ with exceptional coffee and brunch food. The decor is light, bright and open with a fresh crisp feel (even their bathrooms were amazing). Think – breakfast burgers, acai bowls, pancakes, shakshukas and fresh juices (all very Instagram worthy because of the beautiful presentation).

     5) Revolver Espresso – Jalan Kayu Aya/Gang 51, Badung, Bali, Indonesia

A boutique coffee house open from 7 am – late serving up breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails. The fit out of this place is really funky, with different rooms you can sit in that provide different feels. There is also an upstairs area that sells merchandise (think – hoodies, tall tee’s, dresses and jewellery). The service in this place was overly attentive, but I cannot fault them on wanting to provide the best experience for their patrons. This was also the first time I tried jack fruit (in taco form), forever changing my life (praise the food gods).

     6) Cabina Bali – Seek to google maps to provide location

Brunch, pool, dinner and bar. Yes, you can relax with one of their delicious cocktails next to (or in) their own pool. Their soundtrack was really cool, which created a relax and mellow vibe.  Unfortunately, they had a private function so we had to leave at 7 pm. But all in all, I enjoyed the space and delicious cocktails – food though, pretty average.

7) Potato Head Beach Club – Drinks, pool, amazing vibes, and food that changes in each section!

8) Bo & Bun – Vietnamese eatery. Who doesnt love bahn mi?

Last but not least, you can’t go past having an ice cold Bing Tang while watching the sun set over Seminyak beach. Don’t forget to dine at local Balinese restaurants that provide the best Mi Goreng and Nasi Goreng and explore the streets until it feels like home ! Does anyone else have any other place in Seminyak/surrounding areas that they really liked?
